Honor the men and women who flew and trained at Luke Field, Arizona, during World War II.

Class Books

Class Books were a lot like high school year books, put together by members of the class prior to graduation. As a result, not all men in the Class Books graduated with that class. For example, one cadet ended up in three Class Books. Hold overs could occur for a number of reasons, typically for some sort of temporary medical condition. Please enjoy this walk through the past with these young men.

My eternal gratitude to Capt. Si Slaughter and his family who collected many of the Class Books presented here and donated them to the Luke Air Force Base Library. Additional thanks go to the Luke Air Force Base Librarians and Historians, who over the years collected and preserved these volumes. My thanks to Mr. Aaron Berkowitz, who thought to save the Class Book for Class 42-D by reprinting an original copy. While the original books are in the public domain, lukefieldaz.com placed a copyright on these versions due to the extensive work required to bring them to the point of presentation.
